Preseason Action

Ok let me start with this, I think betting preseason football is a crap shoot. But when I breakdown the preseason, I am always looking for teams with more players trying to prove something, and I am never willing to lay much money down on these games.

Cleveland -3.5

The Jets just released Pennington, and Favre isn't going to play tonight. QB wise, the Browns are in a very different position. Anderson and Quinn are going to be doing all they can to put up the best numbers possible, especially Quinn. Don't be surprised if Brady gets a long look at QB tonight.

Chicago -3.5

Just like the Browns, Grossman and Orton are going to get nice looks tonight. Also, Forte and Jones are going to be running hard to send a message to coaches. I doubt Larry Johnson will get a bunch of carries tonight, and I expect the Bears starting D will shutdown the Chiefs for as long as they are in there.

Baltimore +3.5

What in the world does New England have to play for. They don't need to worry about Brady or Moss or Welker. What incentive do the starters have. Baltimore has incentive though, 3 QBs will be playing their BUTTOCKS' off. I also think Ray Rice is going to be running hard. My main concern is that Flacco will be playing in his first ever game, and who really knows how he will perform.

Arizona -2.5

I don't expect Brees to be in all that long. I expect that Deuce won't play all that much to protect his leg. Colston is out. I do expect the Cardinals' QBs to be playing hard thought. Leinart to prove he should be the starter and is a capable NFL qb, and Warner to prove he isn't too old to be a starter in the league.

I would've done everything you did, so good call on the preseason being a crap shoot.

Yeah Nick,

I don't really know how you can handicap how 3rd and 4th string qbs will play
