Kansas @ South Florida (No Audio Breakdown)
This should be an exciting Friday night college football game that pits two very good teams against one another. Thunderstorms are scheduled to hit the area around noon tomorrow, so make sure to check the field conditions prior to the game.
When I look at these two teams I think that either team could win this game but I think there are two key factors for me.
1. Can Kansas keep George Selvie away from Reesing? Kansas has 2 new starting tackles on the line, so I expect that they will be shifting a guard to help against Selvie.
2. Can Grothe protect the ball the way that Reesing has been able to?
The reason that I am taking Kansas +3.5 has to do with that 2nd factor. Reesing runs the spread offense as well as anyone in the country, if not better than anyone. Part of what has made Kansas so good is the fact that they protect the ball. Reesing threw only 7 interceptions last year. Grothe threw 14 TDs but also had 14 interceptions. With these two teams that I see as relatively equal, I would rather put my money on the QB who does a better job at protecting the ball and who is deadly accurate.
